The Rev. Drs. Joey and Connie Shelton are Senior Pastors of Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS. Galloway is a downtown church serving the inner city across from the state capitol. The Shelton's were appointed to Galloway after serving as Co-Directors of Field Education/Church Relations at Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC. Both Joey and Connie are elders in the Mississippi Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Connie is a native of Picayune, MS. She previously served as Executive Director of The United Methodist Hour, headquartered in Hattiesburg, MS. Connie is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors Degree in Radio, Television, and Film, and a Masters Degree in Public Relations. Her Master of Divinity is from Duke University and Doctor of Ministry is from Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, GA.

Joey is a native of Hattiesburg, MS, the Oak Grove community. He previously served as pastor of Court St. United Methodist Church, Hattiesburg, MS. Joey is a graduate of Millsaps College with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He received a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law and practiced law in Hattiesburg for nine years. His Master of Divinity is from Duke University and Doctor of Ministry is from Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, GA.

The Sheltons have two daughters, ten-year-old Bailey and five-year-old Jessica.
