This 11:00 a.m. service of
worship is a family friendly, multi-aged, stylistically integrated
service, which is also the only live worship service broadcast in the
Jackson television market (WAPT-TV). It offers an order of worship which
integrates both old and new elements into a cohesive format, which is
familiar to those who might have been raised United Methodist, but also
immediately accessible to those who may be coming from other church
traditions, or no tradition at all!
The sermon is delivered by
Galloway's senior pastors, Rev. Dr. Connie Shelton and Rev. Dr. Joey
Shelton. The music ministry
utilizes their full resources to help enliven the congregation in its
worship of God. The Chancel Choir participates every Sunday, while
other instrumental, handbell, and vocal choirs provide regular
leadership in this service.
"God's Word in Children's
Language" is designed specifically to speak to our youngest congregants
and is a regular part of the service. Following the message, the
children may attend their own special worship experience called
"Children's Church" or remain in the Sanctuary service and participate
with tier parents.
Attending the 11:00
o'clock service allows worshippers to participate in the 9:30 a.m.
Sunday School class of their choice and to have lunch prepared by an
excellent foodservice staff following worship. EVERYONE is
welcomed and invited to come and experience WORSHIP AT GALLOWAY!
