Student Panel

SUMMARY

This week's service featured a student panel of Youth in place of a traditional sermon, giving the congregation a meaningful window into the lives of four Galloway youth: Annie, James, Grant, and Lydia. Rather than a pastor delivering a message, these students shared their experiences, pressures, and faith perspectives in an open and honest conversation that served as a living testimony to the work of youth ministry. The students spoke about the real pressures of being a teenager in 2026, including packed schedules, the weight of social media, and the desire to be understood rather than underestimated. They also shared how their faith provides peace, how community at church matters deeply to them, and how the support of adult volunteers shapes their sense of belonging. Annie offered perhaps the most memorable moment of the morning, reminding the congregation that every word and action can bring someone closer to God or push them further away.

INTRO PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of community and for the voices of the young people who spoke into our lives today. As we gather to discuss what we heard, we ask that You open our hearts and minds to what You want us to receive. Help us to listen well, to speak with grace, and to leave this time more committed to loving and supporting the next generation. May Your Spirit guide every word shared in this group. In Jesus' name, Amen.
